Arrival in SOUTH AFRICA!

Hey everyone, I have passed through customs in SOUTH AFRICA! My luggage has arrived and everything is going smoothly. Everyone has already switched into shorts because it is 80 degrees here! Crazy weather change, I'm sweating! I have a long layover here and will head to Port Elizabeth at 8 AM. it is currently 1:00AM here. I'm sure jet lag will start to kick in here soon.

You know it's going to be a good flight when your flight attendant is a Bennie! There's about 20 Bennies and Johnnies on this flight to Amsterdam. You can't go wrong. Peace out, America!

Departure

Today is the day, folks. I finally get to hop the pond for the first time and experience something that I have always dreamed of. Looking forward to surfing in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, exploring Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, meeting and getting to know the South African people and culture, and experiencing the wild safari!

My flight leaves from Minneapolis, while it is snowing, today at 3:20pm and I will be landing in Amsterdam sometime early Friday morning. After a layover in Amsterdam, it's off to Africa for this guy. I plan to be in South Africa and its 80 degree weather by Friday night and Port Elizabeth by Saturday morning!
